Welcome to Shady Grove

Shady Grove is a part of The Wesleyan Church. As Wesleyans, we share the belief there is one God, who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and the Savior of all men and women who put their faith in Him alone for eternal life. We believe that those who receive new life in Christ are called to be holy in character and conduct, and can only live this way by being filled with the Lord's Spirit. We believe in the Bible and seek to establish our faith and actions on its teaching. We believe God wills for people everywhere to know Him and that the purpose of the Church is to tell the world about Christ through its worship, witness, and loving deeds. When arriving on our campus, turn into Entrance B or C. There are special guest spaces just for you! As you come in to the building, let our greeters know it is your first time with us - they will be happy to help you out. Families with children who would like to attend SGkids should drive behind the Worship Center to the back parking lot and enter the Kid's Worship Center. ​ Kids check-in opens 15 minutes prior to each service.

Come as you are, there is no dress code! You will see everything from a traditional suit to shorts and a T-Shirt.

Our services usually last about an hour long and can change in format based on what sermon series is being taught or what special events may be happening. Typically, we sing a few worship songs, pray together, and have a time of teaching from the Bible. There may be other elements added in from time to time, such as communion, baptism, or child dedication.

Absolutely! We love kids at Shady Grove - they are the best! Pastor Doreen heads up our SGkids ministry where we have age-appropriate worship opportunities for ages birth - 5th grade. Our Preschool SGkids are located in the hallway next to the Sanctuary on the main level of the Worship Center. The Kids Worship Center for ages K-5 is at the rear of the building, down the hill (check out our CAMPUS MAP for more info). Also, we offer AWANA on Wednesday nights at 6:45 from September - May!

We do! We offer a variety of small group options because we believe that small groups give you the best opportunity to grow in your faith. Sunday morning worship is great and is a major part of a Christian life, but there is only so much that can be taught in an hour. We offer a variety of types of small groups, from more traditional "Sunday School" classes on Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM to groups that meet in homes during the week. We have an awesome student ministry here at Shady Grove! The Station meets every Wednesday night with the doors opening at 6:30 PM until 8:15. They have some hang out time, a game, a student-led worship time, an engaging and relevant message, and a small group time with students their own age.
